Barcode Dynamics GP: Great Plains Partner News Barcode for Microsoft Dynamics GP often requires unique addition to the business logic. This means that out-of-the-shelf bar code add-ons to the GP might not do what you need and you are taking this so called customized solution. In this small publication we offer Barcode highlights, and how this solution could be implemented and customized.
Barcode 1. Printing. Barcode can be done from the window of receipt of entry, when the transaction is concluded purchase receipt, or on request for any item of inventory, the item window card. The format of the barcode label can be changed easily because it is a Crystal report. In general, we recommend using a barcoding single, as 3 of 9. It is important to decide if your client simply wants bar code item numbers or if they also want to bar serial numbers batch numbers /.
2. Inventory Transfers. We offer two options: transfer via a regular customer GP (on a workstation) or via a wireless handheld scanner. The transfer of stocks via the client regular GP is made through a transfer window for modifying the inventory, where the user simply sets the DE and sites, then the user can scan all the barcodes representing the items to transfer.
3. The solution in the wireless handheld scanner requires some additional hardware and software components (such as wireless routers, the scanner itself, and Wavelink, manager of wireless applications). These factors significantly increase project costs and are applicable only if users need to store the mobility offered by this solution. The functionality is similar to that offered by the desktop version.
