How do I set the date and time for IDCs Samsung 28D office phone? The phone systems have been replaced and now the date and time are incorrect. Nothing in the instructions that were left includes measures to correct them. The exact date and time are needed to document the receipt of voice messages and calls.
This is a multistep process that involves entering level programming director, then set the date and time. Programming can be done from a telephone with a display of buttons 12 or 24.
1. With handset hung, press TRSF then dial 200. Your display shows ENABLE CUS. PROG. Password:
2. Enter your access code to four digits 1234 (which is the default pass code). The display shows ENABLE CUS. PROG. DISABLE. If the pass code 1234 does not work as described, please see Notes below Samsung DCS.
3. Dial 1 to enable. The display now shows ENABLE CUS. PROG. ENABLE.
4. Press TRSF and the keyset will return to its idle speed. Once you have entered programming at the administrative level, you must begin programming within 30 seconds. Any delay of more than 30 seconds between keystrokes to the automated system to leave the programming mode.
5. Then enter the new date and time as follows:
Press TRSF then dial 505. The screen displays the date and time setting on your system. The example below shows Monday, April 7, 2003, at 9:30.
6. OLD: 0 04 07 03: 30 September
NEW: WMMDDYY: HHMM.
7. Enter the correct date using the keypad as follows:
W = Day of week (0-6; week begins Monday and ends on Sunday)
MM = month (01-12)
DD = day of month (01-31)
YY = last two digits of the year (01)
HH = hour (use 24 hours and enter the range of 00-23)
MM = minutes (00-59)
Press TRSF store and exit programming. If you entered invalid data, you will receive an INVALID ENTRY message for three seconds. Reenter the date and time.
Thank you for posting these instructions. They are easy to understand and accurately. I do not know why this is not included in the user guide. Flag
Yes, thank you! The information was so dead on right! Flag
Perfect. Absolutely perfect. Fantastic job. Report Abuse
The explanation is above 100% dead-on. I have not found the answer earlier, and now my office has one fewer Samsung.
