Prepaid Landline

Here's the deal. I want to take my landline number, and get a prepaid cell phone from somewhere like Circle K. Can I have my phone number switched (disconnected) and become this phone? I know it works for cell phones, but do not know how it works for a prepaid card. Do they come with a number already attached? Thank you. Serious answers!

I know that cell phone numbers are given with some numbers in them that are not fixed numbers. I do not know of any phone number that has become a mobile number later.
