Phone Line Installation

I was going to run a phone line in my house one of the 2 boxes outside my home, but there is no key to tell me which wire goes where, good color. it is a standard way they are done? Thank you

If you use the standard four-wire son, Line 1 is red and green and Line 2 is black and yellow.

If you are using CAT5 (8 son) cabling, blue and blue / white is line 1, Orange and Orange / white is line 2.

Unless your telephone equipment is sensitive to reverse polarity, it should not matter which item is connected to red and green.
