I look forward to the construction and testing of a PBX system from home for educational purposes. And I was curious whether or not I could find all kinds of government loans or financing for any equipment that I may not have at my disposal.

The short answer to your question is: NO. There is no government funding for start-ups or R & D.

Your best bet is to apply the funds that you HAVE to an investment that requires little initial capital, but a lot of sweat equity in advance "...
