Office PbxWhat is the cheapest and easiest is to set up phone extensions in an office (PBX)?

I do not know much about PBX systems. You have a simple question. What would be the cheapest way to have a finish line, with a hello and 3-4 extensions for my people in the sales office. What used equipment do I need to craigslist or eBay?

Buy a new Panasonic KSU electronic Hello Direct

1 line - PBX is a huge waste! KSU a small (5, line 8 station) is your best proposal. You can add auto, music on hold, etc.

Another option is Asterick, but it runs on a Linux OS and is free. The line cards are not too expensive if you find maps obsolite.

I agree that a line KSU is a waste. You can probably find a small used KSU complete E-bay. Panasonic is very good. The line of Avaya partner is simple and works as they come (not quite simple btw) The docs are available online. However, you can buy a small system in a nine reputable dealer and you will save long term. You can not do business without a telephone.
