New Home Phone Service

New Home Phone ServiceKeep my existing number on a new residential phone service?

I want a home phone and transfer my existing mobile number to my phone at home. Is there telephone service that can do that?
I do not have a broadband Internet connection at home to Vonage and other VoIP services do not work for me.

The question is whether the number of cells that you own is in the same geographical area as the line is fixed.

For example, if you have a phone number in 312 area code (downtown Chicago) and live somewhere in the Chicago area, you can reasonably ask AT & T on the port that the number of local cells of your landline.

However, if you have this number 312 and you request service to Boston, Verizon probably will not honor the request, and ATT because they do not want to go through the trouble to find out how to combine your number 312 in your location Boston.

Porting cell line is rare. Landline or mobile or VoIP is more frequent. The portage between the cell carriers is possible. The portage between the VoIP is risky, but.

I think that a land line number must be a wasteland.

If you do not use the VoIP service, you can not use your cell phone (wireless) Number of your home (fixed) number. They are totally different technologies.

Nope. Cell phone numbers and landline numbers are two different systems. The figures can not be transferred.
