What mobile phone, internet and cable TV providers should I choose Boston, MA? I moved to Boston, MA this summer and I wanted to know what cable TV mobile phone, Internet service providers and I would choose. I am completely insensitive to the selection available and I do not want to be stuck in a long contract with a provider of shit. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you!
Comcast .. is what I use in Boston
It depends on where you live. Many medium and high rise buildings, either do not allow satellite service or require you to use the service that the building is wired for.
I used to live in a building to NCR because he was connected to the CCTV and telephone systems. (You can turn on the TV to see who was at the entrance of the building, and then buzz through the phone, for example.) My current mid-rise buildings do not allow satellite service.
If you live in a Triple Decker or small building with a porch outside the Back Bay neighborhood, you probably have all the options available. Check with your neighbors to see what works best cellular provider - Verizon has difficulty in my building, for example, but AT & T works very well.
In addition, depending on where you live, radio reception can be a problem. The NCR building I lived in the reception was really crappy because it was a block from the Pru. We were able to get the radio through the cable well.
I would recommend Dish Network for TV, it's only $ 19.99 per month for 120 all-digital channels HBO and Showtime free for 3 months. If you want HDTV, you can add a package of 70 HD channels for $ 10 per month, the facility is free for up to three HD receivers. This will save you much compared to Cox or Comcast cable! For internet and phone I would recommend AT & T, they have found a Special Internet for $ 20 per month, as the law now. Do not bundle the cable TV and stuck with a bill $ 100 per month. I hope this helps.
Comcast, they also have great customer service.
Verizon.
I have always been happy with Comcast!
