Features
The W810 is part of the line Sony Ericsson Walkman mobile phones. While similar to the W800, W810 has benefited from several improvements. Most notably are quad band connectivity, EDGE support for faster data transfers without wire, a slightly improved screen, but the battery life slightly.
Other features include a full Internet browser, 2 megapixel camera with auto focus, the HPM-70 Stereo Headset, Memory Stick PRO Duo slot, 20 MB of internal memory and a music-only mode where phone functions are fully off, this mode also allows the phone to be used as a player in areas mobile phones would normally be prohibited, such as planes and hospitals, in addition to providing longer battery life. The phone supports MP3, AMR, MIDI, IMY, EMY, WAV (16 kHz sample rate maximum) and AAC audio formats and MPEG-4 and 3GPP video formats.
Although official support for Memory Stick PRO Duo is limited to 4GB, users have reported using sticks 16GB with all the functionality (read and write), but larger sizes, some functions (startup time, media playback and file recovery, for example) are slower.
Cosmetics

There are many small cosmetic changes to the W800, but more remarkable is the lack of Classic Controller has been found on most Sony Ericsson mobile phones since the T68i. This has been replaced by a D-pad to improve the ease of use when listening to music and provide a longer life at the keyboard (like the Classic Controller tend to fail because of dust). The color has changed from burnt orange box and cream to black satin. The cover of the camera moving target has also been omitted completely. However, a K750i or W800 back cover (with lens cap) fits with minor modifications.
Availability
The Sony Ericsson W810 is available in the W810i for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and North America, and the W810c for mainland China. The W810 was released worldwide in April 2006. A variation of the white W810 was released June 20, 2006. and is now available on AT & T in the U.S. and O2 in the UK. The W810i is available in black and white on Rogers Wireless in Canada.
