Is there an 800 number, you can get for the military serving in Iraq, instead of calling cards to call home.? My son is in Iraq, calling cards are exspencive, I heard about the 800 number from a friend.
Some units / items have numbers for soldiers deployed to the call. They place a call to a call center and call center before the call to the number of deployed soldier trying to achieve. This is not accessible at all well. Even when it is saved then it is often difficult to obtain or service that nobody can pass through.
Calling cards are not really expensive. Your son can be purchased at the P / X, where it is. You can also get them for him online. They are a very good deal and they work very well.
All the best for you and your son!

If the cards are expensive to verify in a satellite phone.
You can open an account and send him the phone. He could share the phone with his buddies and their families could share the cost of the phone with you.
Hey, just a suggestion.
