What is the rule for a time and an email blast to his former clients? Our company has a mailing list of an event we held last year. The mailing list was of people who registered online or by fax form for the event, but we neglected to include an opt-box "for future messages.
Are we allowed to send a one-time email blast to people (with opt-out information in the email) for the same event this year without being considered spam?
Please provide links to international rules emailing you can name. Thank you!
I am looking for a copy of the CAN-SPAM to be sure. I think you can send a list that you have had previous contact with as long as you provide two ways for them to opt-out (by e-mail and postal mail.) Is also a good idea to let them know immediately they receive the message because they attended your event similar in the past.
I agree that most people will be cool with the explosion of a single time.
No, technically speaking, you are not allowed. Usually, the option should be hidden in a lengthy "terms and conditions".
However, most people will be OK with the explosion of a single time.
