What Android 2.2/Update UK to desire?

Hello, quick question, I went to the order of desire HTC, but it has only Android 2.1 and I want Flash to be able to watch BBC iPlayer. My question has two parts ...

What phones, keeping in mind I am in the United Kingdom, Android 2.2 (if any?)
Is there a better phone HTC desire? Is he the one who comes to the UK soon?

Desire is one of the best phones.

Motorola has released a new phone though.

2.2 on the desire to be very soon, I'd buy and wait for the update. Desire, according to the magazine T3, is the best smartphone in the world. I have one and it is amazing!
